iBasso SR2 High Definition Open-Back Headphone
The SR2 is a hi-definition, open back headphone that meets the requirements of a high quality audiophile monitor. It combines the strengths of the silicone suspension drivers for a headphone, with Tesla magnetic flux technology, and Bio-cellulose dome diaphragms. The superb elasticity of the silicon surround in tandem with the powerful Tesla flux produces a very powerful sound while retaining excellent micro details. These qualities contribute to the ability of the SR2 to function as an excellent audiophile monitor with the ability to retrieve the full scope of the music with all the micro details intact. The soft and conforming ear pads, adjustable leather headband invite long listening sessions and the high quality detachable cable adds to the ease of changing cables for any amplifier output.
SILICONE SUSPENSION
The SR2 is our second generation of the extremely well received SR1 headphone. With the SR2 using a driver with a silicone suspension, that was the world’s first in the SR1, it has the ability to convey both the micro and macro dynamics and transients with precision, which is one of the hallmarks of this driver.It is the use ofa silicone suspension over the often used polyester such as PET or PEN, that allows our driver to obtain this higher level of accuracy in instrument and voice reproduction rendering a natural and realistic portrayal of the recording. Furthermore, silicone has better stability, maintaining its elasticity from -60°C to +250°C, which means the SR2 has a natural consistency of sound in varying environments.
