The Lithe Audio Bluetooth Ceiling speaker is the ultimate all-in-one ceiling speaker.
Simply install it in your ceiling and power it from the lighting circuit and you’ll instantly be able to stream high quality music from any Bluetooth enabled device.
Designed to enable high quality audio streaming from any Bluetooth-enabled device, this ceiling speaker combines the amplifier and Bluetooth receiver in a single, compact and easy to install unit.
Â
FEATURES
The Lithe Audio Bluetooth Ceiling Speaker can be connected to power via your lighting circuit, or simply plugged into a plug socket if you prefer.
You can use this speaker as a single speaker for small rooms or as a pair for medium sized rooms.
The speaker has a low-profile metal grill which can be painted to match your ceiling allowing you to seamlessly blend it into the décor of your chosen room.
A rapid-mount system makes installation easy and fast installation
Once connected to a Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a smartphone or tablet, the speaker’s integrated device memory will allow instant audio playback for future use.
The speaker’s wireless range is up to 30 metres thanks to the latest Bluetooth 5.0 chipset, and allows for streaming of music from both your personal library and online services such as Spotify, YouTube, Deezer, Apple Music and more.
It can also be hardwired to any non-Bluetooth device via RCA input to allow playback of audio from stereos, televisions or computers.
VOLUME LIMIT SWITCH
There is a handy switch on the back of the Lithe Audio speaker that allows you to halve the power of the amplifier, this is ideal for use in kids bedrooms or in hotel rooms.
Â
STEREO / MONO SWITCH
When used as a single speaker the Lithe Audio Bluetooth Ceiling Speaker will play in mixed mono, this allows a consistent full sound from a single speaker and is ideal for smaller rooms.
If you add the optional passive slave speaker you can either play them both in mono which is ideal for longer rooms, or for dual rooms such as bedrooms and en-suites. Or you can set them to stereo for true stereo playback – this is the most common setting for your average room such as a kitchen, living room or dining room.
Â
RCA AUDIO INPUT
The Lithe Audio speaker also features an audio input on the side, this is perfect for connecting to your television for room-filling sound – especially great in kitchens!
You can also use the RCA input for local input devices such as CD players and much more.
The RCA input is audio sensing, so once you start playing music or turn your TV on the sound will start coming out from the ceiling speakers.
Â
LITHE LINK
The Lithe Audio bluetooth ceiling speakers also feature a LitheLink feature, this lets you connect up to three pairs of Lithe Audio speakers together in one area.
Now for the first time you can have 6 speakers in one area playing the same music.
To do this you need to connect each master speaker together using LitheLink cables which are available in 5m or 10m.
You can also create some “zoning”.
For instance if you connect to the first pair of speakers, all speakers in the system will play music.
If you connect to the second pair, only the second and third pairs will play.
As a real life example lets say you have a kitchen and a dining room, if you place the first pair of speakers in the kitchen and the second pair in the dining room, if you connect to the dining room then only the dining room will play, whereas if you connect to the kitchen pair then both rooms will play music at the same time!
COMMON QUESTIONS
Q: Is a separate amplifier needed for this speaker?
A: No – everything you need is included within the speaker itself, you just need to connect to power.
Q: Can the speakers be easily wired to the mains supply?
A: Yes; the ceiling speaker can be connected to the lighting circuit via a ceiling rose or junction box. Instructions are included with the speaker, but be sure to seek help from a qualified electrician to avoid damage to you or the product.
Q: Can multiple devices be used to stream audio to the speaker?
A: Yes. Only one device can be connected to the speaker at one time, but to use another device you can simply disconnect the first and connect the new one. Once each device has been set up with the 4-digit security pin, they will automatically connect to the speaker providing that another device is not currently connected.Â
