The fresh design of the DDJ-FLX6-GT introduces a new look and feel for its full-size jog wheels, which feature a graphite color plus a metallic texture on top and a rubberized coating on the outer ring for improved playability. The new unit adds support for VirtualDJ (license available separately), and retains free compatibility with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro. TRAKTOR PRO 3 is available to use by downloading its mapping files.
Updated design with a graphite color brings a sophisticated look
The layout of the controls on the DDJ-FLX6-GT is the same as its predecessor, echoing club-standard CDJ + DJM setup, so you can perform intuitively. However, a new matt grey body and the graphite color of the jog brings a sophisticated look.
Support for VirtualDJ
VirtualDJ is compatible with the updated unit (licenses available separately), which also offers free use of the rekordbox Core plan and Serato DJ Pro. The DJ controller also comes with license keys for the Serato FX Pack, Pitch ‘n Time DJ Expansion Packs and TRAKTOR PRO 3 TSI file, which will be released. With a built-in sound card, all you need to do is connect the DDJ-FLX6-GT via USB cable to a laptop that’s running a compatible software and you can start DJing right away.
All-new Merge FX
Add drama to your sets and easily mix different styles of music. No matter what the BPM or key of the next track is, you can create an exciting transition whenever you want. Simply press the knob and turn it as fast or as slowly as you like to start building up the tension in the music.
1. Select a Merge FX preset and press the knob
Choose one of the 4 assigned Merge FX patterns and press the knob to start building the tension.
2. Turn the Merge FX knob
Increase the influence of the effect by simply turning the knob — depending on the preset pattern you’ve chosen, the combination of different effects and samples is triggered at the same time.
3. Press the knob again to release the effect, then play the next track
When you’re ready to make a drop and move to your next track, simply press the knob again. The effect is released and, when one is assigned in the preset, the sample plays. The track stops automatically so all you need to do is hit play on the other deck to drop your next track.
4. Customize your Merge FX
In the new Merge FX section in rekordbox (PC/Mac), you can customize each effect type and the samples used in each pattern to create your own variations. Choose from 41 types of effect for each element (Build FX, Build Sample, Release FX, and Drop Sample) and combine them to create more than 9,000 different patterns.
Jog Cutter: Create pro-sounding scratch effects, one-handed
Turn on Jog Cutter and simply move the jog wheel to apply a professional-sounding scratch effect to the last Hot Cue or playback position you used on that deck. There are 10 different scratch patterns and you can switch from one to another by simply moving the playhead position, shown on the jog wheel’s display, to point toward the angle for the scratch you want to use.
Full-size jog wheels with track position display
Pitch bending and scratching feels natural thanks to the large jog wheels, which are the same size as those on the flagship CDJ-3000 multi player. Each one features On Jog Display too, so you can keep an eye on the playhead position.
Sample Scratch: Get creative with your favorite sounds
Sample Scratch is a brand-new pad mode in rekordbox which enables you to choose sounds you’ve assigned to the sampler and load them onto the decks. So, when you want to create a live remix of a track, or simply add some texture to the music, you can scratch with your favorite sounds.

Thanks to a built-in sound card, the DJ controller connects straight to your speakers or amplifier via a single RCA cable. Plus you can record to rekordbox using the same USB connection.

Hit the 8 back-lit rubber Performance Pads to trigger Hot Cues, Pad FX, Beat Jump, and the sampler.

Functions
- Loop section Sets the In / Out point of the loop on the fly.
- Call Cue/ Loop section Calls the cues and loops already set for the track.
- MERGE FX select button Changes the Merge FX type, cycling through types in the following order: MERGE FX 1,2,3 or 4.
- Browser section Browses / loads the tracks within the tree view to the deck.
- DECK4/SAMPLER selector switch Selects whether channel 4 plays the sampler sound or the sound from deck 4.
- JOG CUTTER button Turns Jog Cutter mode on/off.
- MERGE FX knob Press: Turns the selected MERGE FX on/off. Turn: The effect of the selected Merge FX changes.
- DECK SELECT button Switches the deck to be used.
- SHIFT button Press another button while holding the [SHIFT] button to use a different feature assigned to the button.
- BEAT SYNC button Automatically synchronizes the tempo (BPM) and beatgrid with the deck set as the master.
- MASTER button Sets the relevant deck as the master.
- Performance Pads Call up and control the Hot Cues, Pad FX, Beat Jump, and sampler.
- Beat FX section Turn on / off BEAT FX and change the effect, applied channel, depth, and the length of the beat to be synced.
- PHONES output terminals Connections for your headphones. Stereo phone plugs (1/4″) and stereo mini phone plugs (ø 3.5 mm) can be used with the unit.
- HEADPHONES LEVEL knob Adjusts the level of the headphones sound.
- HEADPHONES MIX knob Adjusts the monitor volume balance between sounds from the master channel and the channels which have the headphone [CUE] button pressed.
- MIC LEVEL knob Adjusts the level of sound input to the [MIC] input terminal.
- MASTER output terminals (RCA pin jack type) Connection for a powered speaker, a power amplifier, etc. Compatible with RCA pin-jack type unbalanced outputs.
- BOOTH output terminals (RCA pin jack type) Connection for a powered speaker, a power amplifier, etc. Compatible with RCA pin-jack type unbalanced outputs.
- MIC ATT. (Attenuator) knob Adjusts the volume of input sound from the [MIC] input terminal.
- MIC input terminal (1/4″ TRS Jack) Connection for a microphone. Phone plug (1/4″) can be used.
- USB port Connection for a PC/Mac. A USB hub can’t be used.
- Kensington security slot Connection for a cable lock for security.
